"Admit it. You aren’t like them. You’re not even close. You may occasionally dress yourself up as one of them, watch the same mindless television shows as they do, maybe even eat at the same fast food sometimes. But it seems the more you try to fit in, the more you feel like an outsider, watching the ‘normal people’ as they go about their automatic existences.” - Timothy Leary
This quote resonates so deeply with many of us who've felt the pull of a different path, a path less traveled by the mainstream. For years, I tried to mold myself into what society deemed 'normal.' I played the game, followed the rules (sometimes), and yet, I always felt like an outsider peering in.
The feeling of not belonging—feeling disconnected from yourself because you’ve been wearing masks your whole life--can be isolating, but it can also be a catalyst for profound transformation. It was this very sense of disconnection from the conventional, and ultimately from my soul, that led me to embark on a journey of self-discovery, healing and transformation -- eventually guiding me to become a psychedelic integration coach.
Psychedelics, when approached with intention and respect, have the power to unveil the layers of our subconscious, revealing truths about ourselves and the world around us. They challenge our preconceived notions, dissolve the barriers we've built, and open us up to new perspectives and possibilities.
My own journey with psychedelics has been so profound and life changing that I can’t do anything else but try to share this with others who can benefit from the clarity psychedelics provide.
As a psychedelic integration coach, I assist others in navigating the often complex and sometimes overwhelming experiences that can arise from psychedelic journeys. Integration is a vital part of the psychedelic experience, as it allows us to make sense of these profound insights and incorporate them into our daily lives.
Just as important as post-integration is, integration prior to working with psychedelics is critically important. Understanding yourself, what may come up, strategies for dealing with what may come up, setting intention and education will all have a significant impact on your ultimate experience with psychedelics – anything from micro to macrodose.
I’ve learned to embrace and love being an outsider; it’s a magical gift – I consider it my superpower. It provides me a unique vantage point from which to question, explore, and ultimately grow. It's about embracing, loving and freely expressing my authentic self, even if that means deviating from the norm.
If you've ever felt like you don't quite fit in, if you've ever questioned the status quo, know that you're not alone. There's a community of outsiders, seekers, and explorers who are charting their own paths and discovering their own truths.
Embrace your uniqueness, honor your intuition, and don't be afraid to follow your own path, no matter where it leads. And if you ever find yourself in need of guidance or support along the way, know that there are coaches like myself who are here to help you on your path.
Remember, it's okay to be different. In fact, it's often the outsiders who change the world. So, dare to be different, embrace your inner outsider, and let your unique light shine bright.
